CATEC is looking for a Plumbing Apprenticeship instructor for the 2021 fall semester (start date: early August).

You will be sharing your expertise in Plumbing with students who want to take their skills and training to the next level. We do what we do because of them.

We are a small office that serves the local trade industry by offering Department of Labor and Industry approved apprenticeship classes, as well as adult education programs, for local adults wanting to change their careers or receive skills training to help them find employment. What Apprenticeship is:
Registered Apprenticeship is a structured training program that combines on-the-job training and related technical instruction to train employees in occupations that demand a high level of skill. Registered Apprenticeship is an investment in the skill level of the workforce and ensures accountability for mastering the duties and tasks of the occupation. Apprentices enjoy a higher quality of life, higher lifetime earnings, high-quality mentoring and education, and earn while they learn.
What knowledge, skills, and abilities we need you to have:
Candidates must be licensed in their trade. Teaching experience is desired, but not required.
What you will be doing:
Apprenticeship classes meet one night per week from 6:00PM – 9:00 PM. Fall semester classes begin in August and run until mid-December. Spring semester classes begin in January and run until mid-May.
