Becoming a Partner How can you assist our programs to better prepare a 21st Century workforce? What exactly does that mean? Opportunities- HOW CAN I HELP???
•Direct instruction (Advisories) -come in and teach a lesson or unit in a particular trade.
Your expertise is an invaluable resource for the students to hear from "real-life" experts in their respective field. •Off-campus visits/tours- Adolescents need to Touch, Feel, Smell, & Experience occupations
and careers in our area. Give a hs student the opportunity to tour your business and shadow someone in an area they have interest in. •Internships/Job Shadows/Work Release - once again, students "don't know what they don't know".
Give them the opportunity to explore. •Mentorship -Who doesn't need a mentor.
Become an active member of a young person's life and help them see things from a different perspective. •Sponsorship (web site/EXPO/equipment) - we are always looking for additional assistance with
resources - gifts in kind for our programs and monetary donations. We also need business support for our Career Expo to be held at Fashion Square mall on January 26, 2008. •Marketing/Publicity/PR/Recruitment -We feel as if we are the best kept secret in Charlottesville.
Help us spread the word about programs and opportunities for our students. Hearing the voice of the business and industry leaders is great PR. business then to create a summer camp experience for them. We can cater this opportunity - let us know how we can help. •
